Caring for your Krisis Flood Bag
Instruction to limit Condensation inside your Krisis Flood Bag
Condensation can occur over time if Krisis Flood Bags are left for long periods in hot and cold weather conditions.
It is recommended to place Silica Gel pads inside the Krisis Flood Bag. A Silica Gel Pad will help to control any moisture inside the Krisis Flood Bag over long periods. Silica Get is an excellent way to control humidity and moisture that may lead to a build-up of mould.
Do not expose your Krisis Flood Bag to cleaning agents and solvents
These will cause damage to the bags. The ingredients in these liquids will react with the material of your Krisis Flood Bag, causing flaws. If contact does occur the watertight properties may be compromised and will void the warranty.
Extreme heat
Do not expose your Krisis Flood Bag to excessive heat. Bags must be stored at room temperature and not exceed 40 degrees Celsius [104 degrees fahrenheit]. Never iron your Krisis Flood Bag. Extreme heat will cause damage to PVC material.
Exposure of your Krisis Flood Bag to extreme heat will void the warranty.
Washing
Do not wash or dry clean your Krisis Flood Bag. Krisis Flood Bags are intended for single-use water exposure. While we recommend replacing after use, Krisis Flood Bags have been shown to stay dry after many uses.

Caring for the zipper
Extreme heat
Do not expose your Krisis Flood Bag zipper to extreme heat. Keep the bag’s zipper away from any head source exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. Never iron your Krisis Flood Bag zipper. Extreme heat will damage the waterproof film applied to the zip.
Exposing your Krisis Flood Bag zipper to extreme heat will void the warranty.
Washing
Do not wash or dry clean your Krisis Flood Bag zipper. Krisis Flood Bag zippers are intended for single-use water exposure. Washing is not recommended as this will compromise the waterproof film applied to the zipper. Avoid exposing the zipper to any form of moisture before using it in a flood protection situation. Washing your Krisis Flood Bag zipper will void the warranty. While we recommend replacing after use, Krisis Flood Bags have been shown to stay dry after many uses.
Storage
Don’t store your Krisis Flood Bag in direct sunlight
It is important to not store your Krisis Flood Bag in direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to the sun will degrade the material. Store in a dark or well-shaded area is essential to maintain the bag’s performance.
Store your Krisis Flood Bag at room temperature
It’s important to store your Krisis Flood Bag at room temperature and away from excessive heat. Prolonged exposure to heat above 40 degrees Celsius will degrade the material.
Do not store objects on top of your Krisis Flood Bag
Do not store your Krisis Flood Bag under pressure as this may cause damage to zips or PVC material.
Store in a dry environment
Storing your Krisis Flood Bags in a dry environment will prevent the build-up of mould and mildew and prevent the coating on the zipper from deteriorating.
Product lifespan of Krisis Flood Bags
If stored correctly away from heat and moisture, the lifespan of the zipper and PVC material is 10 years. It is therefore recommended the bags be replaced after 10 years.
